UESTC Mathematics Modeling Team won award of Outstanding Winners in the 6th Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling held in 2004 in U.S.A.  Before, UESTC has won the award of Meritorious Winners for many times. In 2007, three UESTC teams won the award of Meritorious Winners and seven teams the award of Honorable Mention Winners.

UESTC Male Student Basketball Team won the championship of The National Top Eight University Basketball Teams in 1998.
